Cookie Policy
Effective from the date first published on heresnext.com. Last updated: 2026-05-16.
This Cookie Policy explains how HeresNext ("HeresNext," "we," "our,"
or "us"), an Internet service operated from Massachusetts, USA with HeresNext LLC
formation pending, may use cookies and similar local-storage technologies on the
website at heresnext.com and in the related web application (together, the
"Service").
This Policy is supplemental to and incorporated into our Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service.
1. What cookies and local-storage values are
A "cookie" is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. "Local storage" is a similar mechanism that lets a website save small amounts of data in your browser. Both are commonly used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and keep a website working correctly.
2. What we may use
HeresNext is intentionally light on cookies. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use any technology that profiles you or tracks you across other websites.
We may use the following limited categories:
2.1 Essential storage
These are necessary for the Service to work and are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies:
theme— remembers your preference for light, dark, or system theme. Without this value, the site would not be able to honor your theme choice on subsequent visits.cookie-consent— records that you have dismissed the cookie banner so we do not show it to you on every page load.
When you are signed in to the Service, your browser session also relies on authentication tokens stored as cookies or in local storage. These are necessary for the Service to know that you are signed in and to keep your session secure.
2.2 Analytics
We use a privacy-friendly analytics service. It is cookieless and does not use browser storage to track you. It does not collect personally identifiable information. It helps us understand which pages are read, which guides are popular, and where users come from, in aggregate.
2.3 Bot protection
When you submit a form on the Service (for example, the waitlist or contact form), we use a bot-protection service to verify that you are a human and not an automated bot. The service may temporarily set a cookie or read a small token from your browser as part of that verification. The token is used solely for the purpose of bot protection and is not used for tracking.
2.4 No advertising cookies
We do not use any of the following:
- Meta Pixel or any Facebook tracking technology
- Google Ads remarketing tags
- Third-party advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking technologies
- "Like buttons," "share buttons," or other social-media widgets that load remote scripts and track you
3. Your choices
You can control cookies and local storage from your browser settings:
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, clear local storage, or both.
- Your browser may have a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" setting; we honor these signals where applicable.
- If you block essential storage, the Service may not function correctly. For example, your theme preference may not persist.
For analytics, you can opt out by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser. Our analytics service respects this signal and will not record analytics events for visitors who have it enabled.
4. Changes to this Policy
If we change the cookies or local-storage values we use, we will update this Policy and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change introduces tracking cookies or advertising technologies (which we have no current intention to do), we will provide additional notice and, where required, an updated consent mechanism.
